Buildings depend on raw materials and energy more than any human need. Since LEED- Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design was establishing in Canada in 2004 we have seen a rapid shift in consciousness that includes all areas of construction.
Owners want green, municipalities are beginning to get on board, manufacturers are in a race to provide the goods that are from recycled materials, use less energy and are produced locally, contractors are re-learning their trade so as not to be left behind and new building codes will soon raise the bar for all construction.
